START DATE: August, 2024

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Teacher contract days with 20 extra days.  Benefits according to Board policy.  District currently participates in the Missouri Teacher Baseline Salary Grant (minimum $38,000 salary) and Career Ladder (Stages 1, 2 and 3).

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Valid Missouri Educator Certificate for appropriate level:  Guidance Counselor K-8 or K-12, or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.  

 

REPORTS TOBuilding Administrator

 

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

Summary

The Guidance Counselor is to offer the student counseling and comprehensive, developmental guidance services in the areas of personal/social, educational/academic, and career/vocational growth and development which will enable him/her to live successfully and become a contributing member of society.

Conditions and Environment

The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active. Occasionally the individual will be required to work outdoors for short periods of time to perform such tasks as loading or unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess or other activities.
